How to Make a Powerful Mushroom Double-Extraction Tincture

Mushrooms are incredible healers! Many of them grow on tree parts that have been injured to nurse them back to health. Just like with trees, mushrooms help our bodies become stronger and more ready to face any challenges. They are great endocrine enhancers, lymphatic system movers, and nervous system balancers.

Recently, I made a chaga mushroom tincture and wanted to share with you how I made it because it requires an extra step needed in mushroom herbal extractions. This step is not usually needed for other herbs.Β Because many of mushrooms’ healing components are water-soluble but not alcohol-soluble, I did a double extraction, first with alcohol and then with water. Here is how I did it!

Alcohol Extraction

✨ Cut up fresh or dried mushrooms and place them in a glass jar.

✨ Cover the mushrooms with at least 40% alcohol such as vodka, brandy, or rum.

✨ Shake the jar every day for the next 30 – 75 days. Leave the jar in a place that you see every day so that you remember to shake it. I like to start my tinctures on a new moon and finish it on a full moon to take advantage of the moon’s power.

✨ When you are ready to make your tincture, take a strainer, cheese cloth, or a nut bag and strain the mushrooms to extract the liquid containing the precious healing properties.

✨ Save the mushrooms and store the extract in a glass jar.

Water Extraction

🌸 Place the mushrooms you used in the alcohol extraction into a pot and pour enough water over them so that the level is a bit above the mushrooms.

🌸 Boil the water and reduce the heat to low, placing the lid on top of the pot.

🌸 Make a decoction by simmering the mushrooms for about one hour so that the water-soluble components can concentrate in the water.

🌸 Let the mushroom decoction cool down.

🌸 Strain the decoction and save the precious liquid.

🌸 Combine the alcohol and water extracts together and store them in a glass jar in a dark and cool place.

Plant a Fairy Garden!

I get excited every day to see how my little fairy garden is growing! Β I planted some of my favorite flowers and herbs of different colors and aromas at different times so that the garden can be in bloom for a long time.

I encourage you to plant a little garden with your favorite herbs, fruits, veggies, or flowers, even when working with a small space such as a window sill.

Plants are as alive as we are, having their own physical, astral, emotional, mental, etheric, celestial, and causal bodies. They communicate with us and give us hints about how they can help us heal. Just look at the beautiful auras plants emit, that can be seen with the naked eye!

Raw Vegan Home-Made Coconut Milk

🌴 dried coconut flakes
🌴 water or coconut water

or

🐡 fresh coconut meat
🐡 coconut water

 

πŸ’• Soak dried coconut flakes in water or coconut water overnight.

πŸ’• Blend rehydrated coconut flakes with remaining water.

πŸ’• Strain the coconut pulp (you can use it for making cookies, as a smoothie bowl topping, in salads…) and store the beautiful home-made coconut milk in the fridge for about a week.

or…for a creamier coconut milk…

🍢 Open up a young or mature coconut.

🍢 Save the coconut water and take out the coconut meat. (You can also use frozen coconut meat and water or purchased coconut water.)

🍢 Blend the coconut meat with the coconut water until smooth. Strain the milk if necessary.

🍢 The milk can be stored in the fridge for about a week.
